The BCGA is thrilled to announce the 
2021 Viticulturist of the Year Award Winner
Heidi Lorch!

 
The BCGA invites you to celebrate Heidi Lorch at the formal award presentation.
 
Heidi comes from a long-time farming family and brings a scientific approach to her grape growing. She stood out  because of her knowledge of her soils, exceptional record keeping, attention to detail, maticulously managed canopies, mechanical innovations to manage the vineyard on her own and commitment to continuing education, all to produce outstanding quality wine grapes.
 
As the winner, Heidi receives a $2000 bursary from the BCGA to apply to an education opportunity of her choice and a series of soil tests from Vintality.
 
To make an afternoon of it, we will be digging some pits in Heidi’s vines and talking about soil. Amy Richards will be lending her expertise on how to work with the soil you have to keep your vines healthy.
