This award is to recognize those in our industry who strive to grow the very best wine grapes. These are the people who are responsible for each bunch that comes off the vines during harvest and whose decisions directly guide the daily operations of the vineyard.

Requirements:

  • Nominee must be members or working for a company that is the member of the BCGA at time of nomination.

  • Nominee must be responsible for day-to-day operational decisions for the vineyard.

  • Nominations are for individuals only.

Self-nomination is encouraged.

Nominees are asked to provide references from 2 sources in the industry, at least one being from a winemaker who uses their fruit.

Judging will occur in the month of August. If for some reason this is not possible, it will happen after veraison and before harvest, at a time which is suitable for the nominee.

The award will be presented at the BCGA Grower Day the following spring.
